WEST WITH GIRAFFES by Lynda Rutledge

This book is fine.
There are some good parts, some boring parts, and a few weird parts. No one really loved this book, a few people didn’t like it but what we all agreed on is that this book is a tragedy of bad editing. The hardest part about reading this book is seeing what it could have been and realizing what it actually is. The first 1/3rd should be half the length. The back 1/3rd should be twice the length and the themes… the beautiful themes…. about whether or not humans or animals are more evolved, what happens when you follow your dreams, how much perspective shifts your sense of morality, and how confronting your past changes your future were ALL underdeveloped.
Giraffes are dope, this book is not, but it’s also not bad. This book will make you want to swing by your local zoo and gawk at some tree horses so if you’re down for a passable easy read and you like animals, this book may be for you… maybe.
